Glazing & performance (all units):
WERS-rated, double-glazed low-E (4 low-E / 12 argon / 4), uPVC or thermally-broken aluminium frames — target Uw ≤ 2.0, SHGC ~0.50 to north (final values via the §1 glazing calculator / NatHERS). ·
AS 2047 rated to wind class N2 (confirm N2/N3 from site) for structural, water & air. ·
AS 1288 Grade A safety glass to all openings with sills < 500 mm (W1–W3 & the SD sliding door) and any glazed door panel. ·
Sliding windows (W1–W3): Monaro AS sliding units are double-glazable, so they carry the double-glazed low-E required for Zone 7 (this is why the front glazing is AS sliding rather than residential ADH double-hung, which is single-glazed only). ·
Vapour-permeable reflective wall wrap + head/jamb/sill flashings to every opening (behind Scyon Axon).
Monaro ordering notes: code = HHWW (first two = height, second two = width, hundreds, rounded); frame ≈ stud opening − 60. Confirm before ordering:
BAL (bushfire) — if the block is BAL-rated, windows must suit AS 3959 (toughened / screens / shutters). ·
Window fall protection (NCC 11.3) — not triggered here (FFL ≈ 614 → external drop < 2 m, no restrictors needed). ·
Openable areas confirm ≥5% of each habitable room for ventilation. ·
