Install to AS/NZS 3000 & the NCC. All final circuits RCD protected (30 mA).
Smoke alarms: 240 V hard-wired, battery backup, photoelectric (AS 3786), interconnected — one in the hallway on the path of travel. Note: the NCC/AS 3786 minimum for a Class 1a dwelling is one in each bedroom PLUS the hallway; confirm final count with the certifier before install.
Wet areas: fittings observe shower zones & IP ratings; bath GPO is a shaver point clear of the zone; exhaust/3-in-1 ducted to outside.
Heights (typ.): GPO 300 mm AFF; over-bench GPO ~150 mm above splashback; switches 1000–1100 mm.
Confirm appliance circuits: oven, cooktop/hob, rangehood, dishwasher, microwave, HWS, A/C.
Point positions: position of each electrical point to be discussed with the electrician prior to running cables.
